Join us this Sunday for a Festival Sunday Preview:
Discovering God’s story in Handel’s Messiah, Part I

Together we will explore the history of the The Messiah, its biblical texts, and the ways Handel’s music gives voice to the promises of Advent and the birth of Christ. Whether you are a longtime lover of Messiah or experiencing it for the first time, this hour will prepare your heart to encounter the good news of Christ through one of the greatest sacred works ever written. Join us this Sunday at 10:10AM in the Chapel.

Here's how you can get involved:

Please join Northside Children’s Music Ministry for our annual Hanging of the Greens Service today at 5:00PM in the Sanctuary as we celebrate the Advent season. Through song and liturgy, the children tell the story and symbolism of the greenery we hang in our homes during the holidays. We will have a reception and celebration in the Watson Faith & Arts Center following the service. Contact Tiffany Uzoije.

This season is filled with bright lights, merry greetings, and lots of laughs. Yet, for many, it is also filled with an empty seat at the table, grief, and pain. We invite all who seek the light of Christ and the hope that comes with it to join us on December 10 at 6:30PM in the Chapel for this sacred time to worship together with prayer, lament, and hearing a word that can bring hope. Join us for one of Northside’s most beloved Christmas traditions, Festival Worship, on Sunday, December 14 during the 8:30 and 11:15AM services. This year’s Festival Choir will present the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah, telling the story of Christ’s birth through some of the most beautiful and timeless music ever written. The morning will also include congregational carols, Scripture, and inspiring seasonal music, all celebrating the joy and hope of the season. Contact Nathan Schreer.

Join us on Sunday, December 14 as we bring Christmas cheer to members of our church community! Youth Choir members, family, and friends of all ages are welcome; no music experience necessary! We’ll meet at 2:00PM in the Music Suite and should finish caroling by 5:00PM. Then, our Middle Schoolers can head straight over to Park Tavern for the Middle School Christmas Party from 5:30 to 7:30PM! There will be dinner, ice skating, and fun! For more information, contact Nathan Schreer.

Christ the Savior is born! Come worship at 10:00AM, 12:00, or 2:00PM for our Family Service—perfect for worshippers of all ages. Our band will lead the Contemporary Service at 4:00PM, and the choir will lead our Traditional Service at 6:00PM. All services will feature candlelight and the story of the birth of our Lord. Enjoy Christmas animals from 9:30AM to 4:30PM along Kingswood Lane. For information, visit our website.
