In the state of Georgia, there are approximately 10,000 to 14,000 children in foster care — children who have suffered from emotional and physical abuse and neglect. These children have been moved into the foster care system to help them survive and thrive. Northside is partnering with Wellroot Family Services to help each child receive a backpack with supplies for their 2026–2027 school year. We need filled backpacks by June 28 and financial gifts by July 6. For questions, contact Rev. Angela House at AngelaH@NorthsideUMCorg.

Holiday Schedule & Combined Worship
The church building will be closed July 2–4. On Sunday, July 5, we will have one combined service at 10:00AM in the Sanctuary. This is one of four combined services that Northside has throughout the year: Fourth of July, Christmas, New Year’s, and Memorial Day. There will be no Sunday school on this day, but we will offer nursery care for 8 weeks old to 5-year-old children on the First Floor. Our regular Sunday schedule will resume on July 12.

Jesus Changes Everything Evening Study
How can we make the gospel central to our lives? Stanley Hauerwas has been provoking Christians with his insistence that if they would only follow their Master, it would impact all areas of life, from the personal to the societal. He tells us Christians should stop bemoaning their loss of cultural and political power. Instead, they should welcome their status as outsiders and embrace the radical alternative Jesus has had in mind for them all along. Jesus changes everything - come find out how with Dr. James Johnson on Tuesday nights at 6:30PM in Room 308 starting July 14.

In the church, flowers are used to glorify God and enhance worship. The altar flowers are provided by congregants to recognize special occasions, including anniversaries, birthdays, baptisms, and memorials. The arrangements typically range from $200-$300 depending on flower choice. The contribution is noted on your giving statement. If you would like to provide Sunday flowers, contact Melody Brown.
