Please join Northside Children’s Music Ministry for our annual Hanging of the Greens Service. This celebration of the Advent season will be held on Sunday, December 7 at 5:00PM in the Sanctuary. Through song and liturgy, the children tell the story and symbolism of the greenery we hang in our homes each holiday season. We will have a reception and celebration in the Watson Faith & Arts Center following the service. Contact Tiffany Uzoije.

We talk a lot about the glory of God, especially during this time of year – but what is glory? The glory of God is the weight of God’s presence and the light of God’s being. This is what we’ll be exploring during the season of Advent this year, as we begin with the story of a baby named Ichabod, meaning ‘no glory,’ and move to another baby called Immanuel, God with us! Books will be available for pickup on this Sunday. You can also sign up for daily emails. For questions or concerns, email Dr. James Johnson.

This season is filled with bright lights, merry greetings, and lots of laughs. Yet, for many, it is also filled with an empty seat at the table, grief, and pain. We invite all who seek the light of Christ and the hope that comes with it to join us on December 10 at 6:30PM in the Chapel for this sacred time to worship together with prayer, lament, and hearing a word that can bring hope. Contact Elle Moye.
